CHRA Board of Directors Nominations and Request for Appointment Open  

Are you interested in serving on the CHRA Board of Director for the 2012-2013 year?  If so, please submit the information requested in the Word Doc at the bottom of this page by March 16th, 2012.  Under CHRA’s revised bylaws, the President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and Immediate Past President comprise the Executive Committee, which is elected by the membership.  The remaining positions on the board of directors are appointed.  If you would like to be appointed or elected, please follow the steps outlined below.

There are several positions on the CHRA Board of Directors.  Each director serves a one-year term and some directors run for subsequent terms.

The positions on the Board of Director are:
President
Vice President
Secretary/Treasurer
Immediate Past-President
Communications Director
Director at Large
Membership Director
Programs Director
Professional Development Group (PDG) Director
Sales Director
Special Events Director
Human Resources Conference Director
Technology Director

Candidates and appointees must be both a CHRA and SHRM member in good standing and prior committee service is highly recommended.  Candidates and appointees should plan to be available for board work during their term, which includes regular monthly board meeting and leading a committee or committees to the extent necessary to ensure success.  Additional responsibilities may be assigned to each board member during the year.

The Nominations Committee considers the individual's previous service to CHRA and leadership in CHRA; the individual's availability and accessibility; the individual's expertise with regard to the position to which she/he is being nominated or seeking appointment; and information from your responses below.

Nomination and Request for Appointment Timeline:
- Nomination Period Closed March 16th, 2012
- Candidates Notified April 11th, 2012
- Executive Committee Nominated April 18th, 2012
- Executive Committee Elected May 16th, 2012
- Directors Appointed May 16th, 2012
- Board of Directors Term: July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013
