Part of the CHRA Workforce Readiness Initiative is to encourage members to develop relationships with partner organizations such as the Denver Office of Economic Development – Youth Services, where community collaboration and partnership are the foundation for building the future workforce. The Denver OED – Youth Services office has engaged and empowered young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 overcome barriers to education and employment while learning skills to navigate the currents of working in a global economy. The programs offered through Youth Services pair soft-skill and job readiness skills with financial literacy and healthy relationship training to empower individuals to climb the career lattice for long-term sustainable career opportunities.
The Workforce Readiness Committee would like to support Denver OED- Youth Services Summer Programs. Providing internships to youth is an excellent means of developing talent pipelines for your organization and your industry. But, if internships are not available, you can still participate. Youth Services will need help interviewing and training hundreds of participants from March through June. Join us in the afternoon program to hear more about the variety of programs and ways that individuals and organizations can help.
This event is approved for 1.0 Strategic Credit Hours.
